Te Rūnanga o Waihao Holdings Limited is looking for a skilled whānau member to take up a vacant role on their Board.

Te Rūnanga o Waihao has grown to become a multi-million-dollar entity. We seek a director skilled in governance with some or all the core competencies, skills, and experience listed below.

Te Rūnanga o Waihao Holdings Ltd is looking to grow and seeks to enhance its performance by increasingly diversifying through new investment opportunities.

 

Prospective directors must be qualified to be directors in terms of the Companies Act 1993 and the Constitution of Te Rūnanga o Waihao Holdings Ltd.

It is expected that all directors will have experience in governance and sourcing investments.

It is expected that all directors will uphold Waihao’s values and be able to look at the work of the company through an intergenerational lens.

  • Commercial and governance experience.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Sound knowledge of legal compliance and risk management responsibilities.

  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Risk assessment and contingency management.
  • Reliability and dependability.

A capable communicator and a personal style that does not detract from a board culture of capability, can-do, trust, and professionalism.

High ethical standards and integrity in all personal and business dealings.

  • Ihu Oneone (Pragmatism):

The ability and intelligence to make sensible and practical yet astute business decisions and recommendations based on reasonable assumptions, and information, including the ability to deal with uncertainty, risk, incomplete information, and complexity, both in the present and reaching out into the future.
